After navigating shocking twists and red herrings, our Private Eyes finally revealed the true culprit of a horrific crime. | ![]() Ever AfterThe Big Bad Wolf discovered a loop-hole in his fairy tales and devoured Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs! This seemingly impossible caught the attention of the Wicked Queen, who planned to change her story forever too. Only Snow White, Peter Pan, Alice and Cinderella stood in her way... |

![]() Bad WolfThe first workshop of 2014 saw our students risk life and limb against the formidable Big Bad Wolf from several fairy tales. Find out their grisly fates at our upcoming 'Ever After' performance! | ![]() The Audio ChroniclesFor the first time, we put together a workshop that created audio stories with recording equipment. By stripping away the visuals, students had to focus on their vocal abilities to portray a range of emotions, while helping the audience to visualise the stories being told. | ![]() Supervillain!In October, Bad Wolf Theatre Company wanted its pupils on their worst behaviour! We went looking for the naughtiest, meanest, cruellest bunch of young terrors. In this workshop, students created a villain to be pitted against a team of super heroes. |
![]() Myths & Monsters'Myths and Monsters' was another of our drama workshops where students delved into a world of fantasy. From the origins of vampires to the search for the Abominable Snowman, we brought to life every creature and monster hunter you could imagine. As always, this workshop concluded with a theatre performance. | ![]() Super!After much work focusing on superheroes, villains and henchmen, it was finally time for a grand battle of good versus evil at The Mart Theatre. With plenty of cape swishing and stage combat, our students put plenty of gusto into the performance. | ![]() Future CorpThis Summer School workshop gave our tech savvy students a chance to flex their imagination by creating futuristic gizmos and gadgets, before putting together a performance to demonstrate them to an audience of potential investors. |

Students discussed why you want it, how you can get it, and how you can be corrupted by it. | ![]() Heroes & Villains'Heroes & Villains' was one of our most popular workshops ever. In 2013 (and back by popular demand by our students), we continued to delve into the fantastical world of superheroes. | ![]() Supernatural: Stage Make-upThis stage make-up workshop focused on all manner of ghosts and ghouls. Our students dreamt up the goriest monsters and with the help of stage make-up, transformed themselves into walking nightmares! |
![]() Cell Block TangoOur students took the opportunity to put on their dance shows and recreate a dance number from the musical Chicago. Pop, Cicero, Lipschitz! | ![]() Tales of a Grave DiggerIn one of our creepiest performances to date, students created short horror stories featuring ghosts, vampires, witches and local legends. These stories were then reiterated to the audience by an incredibly sinister grave digger. | ![]() Stardom!In an age where children are aspiring to be cast in The Only Way is Essex, we focused this workshop on the concept of 'celebrity', and both the positive and negative aspects of fame. The performance was a hit and most definitely 'ream'! |
![]() The Psychic SolutionThis performance was devised by students and told a story of a young girl called Evie who could foresee the future. Once her ability became public knowledge, Evie spent the rest of her childhood in a lab, where her unique gifts were enhanced and altered, but with unexpected consequences... | ![]() The Naughty StepIn the first instalment of 'The Ashford Trilogy', our students put together a story about wealthy couple, Sebastian and Lucy Ashford who abruptly died in a car crash. This story was used to deliver smaller scenes that revolve around the seven deadly sins. | ![]() ParadoxParadox was a performance based on a famous time traveller and his companion (yes, it was quite similar to a Doctor Who episode!) Students used the performance to retell stories of important events throughout history. |
![]() Heaven & HellOur students brought 'The Ashford Trilogy' to a dramatic conclusion where the protagonists fate was decided at random by the audience. Students created a number of stories that had both a happy and sad ending rehearsed. Students didn't know which version they would be performing until a member of the audience picked an envelope at random. | ![]() Snow White and the Seven CyborgsThis workshop was another of our alternative fairy tales, brought to life by our students. We did away with the regular dwarfs and replaced them with robots. | ![]() Breaking NewsFor this performance, students devised a piece focusing on modern media. Students looked at how the media reacts and responds to news, how stories are created. As you can imagine, we had quite a few shady 'paps' making an appearance! |
![]() Most WantedFor this performance, students explored the history of crime and punishment throughout the ages. The performance focused on the consequences of drink driving and proved to be quite a sobering piece. | ![]() AladdinAladdin was one of our first alternative pantomimes. Students enjoy taking well know stories and giving them a modern or otherwise unusual twist. In this instance, Aladdin used all of his wishes on flash cars, bags of cash and sprawling mansions. | Emergency'Emergency' was one of our earlier stage make-up workshops, where we soon discovered that our students had a penchant for gore. When in doubt - add more fake blood! |
