Popular romance novelist Paul Sheldon retires each winter to Colorado to write another work featuring heroine Misery Chastain. Driving while inebriated, he loses control of his car. He regains consciousness in a filthy, dilapidated farmhouse that is cut off from the outside world by a blizzard. Annie, the schizophrenic occupant, is his number one fan and she insists she will nurse him. His legs are crushed and he is virtually a prisoner dependant on her for pain relief. The unbalanced Annie soon discovers that his new book is not about her treasured Misery and so she forces him to destroy it and write another. Thus begins Paul's descent into a living hell of pain, humiliation and degradation. Sheldon knows that he must write a new chapter every day to stay alive.

A long time ago in a kingdom far away, a beautiful girl by the name of Cinderella was worked into the ground by her wicked stepmother, Baroness Bumsheeks. Cinders has to be at the beckoning call of the grotesque and demanding Ugly Sisters, Verruca and Bunion. Meanwhile, across town in the castle, the Prince is on the hunt for a bride and invites every eligible maiden in the kingdom to a fancy dress ball.

Of course, nothing in Cinders wardrobe will fit the dress code, and the Baroness and Ugly Sisters haven’t given her permission to go anyway. Saturday night is pantaloon pressing night, you know. But every fairy tale needs a little hope, and this rolls up in a pumpkin carriage, along with a Fairy Godmother, a posh frock and some glass slippers. The royal ball beckons, but do does midnight...

Join us this Christmas for laughter, songs, cheekiness from Baroness Bumsheeks and audience interaction (oh yes you will, parents!).
